Challenge
The client, a big local horse club, asked us to develop a mobile application that would analyze and represent the complex real-time racing data in an intuitive and understandable way.
Another important IoT-related feature of this project is that we had to think of a specific way to integrate the app with the local software, organize the efficient data transferring process (according to the client's possibilities), and build the project around these requirements.
Another important issue was a tight deadline. We had to develop and launch the app in four months, taking full care of the design, testing, and proper code quality.
Solution
Because of the tight deadline, we needed a tool that would guarantee fast and efficient development. So we chose our favorite – React Native for mobile app development. Using React Native saved us a lot of time for the front-end, and we were able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously. As well we organized communication in such a way that the clients' reviews and comments were always on time, and we immediately reacted to them – that also allowed us to keep up a smooth development process going.
Due to careful planning and efficient communication, we managed to get this IoT mobile app project done exactly on time. It is now in the Apple Store and Google Play and has all the functionality required: tracking of past, present, and future horse riding events. Furthermore, we continue supporting the app and are now working on some awesome new features to add to it.
